Driving directions: Exit 27, follow signs (turn right after toll booth, then right again up the ramp to route 5S, turn left onto route 5S. Go west on route 5S for 5 miles, past the Targer Warehouse and Camping World. As you come down the hill, bear right onto Main street in Fort Hunter, turn left onto Railroad Street. The Visitor Center is on the right facing the Schoharie Creek.
Nature and History Exploration
Description: Crafty Saturday Morning under the Big Tree. Family Friendly Program. Mold flowers out of clay then take a nature walk to identify wild flowers on the trail. Program lasts one hours. For kids aged 4-12. $1.00 fee.
